Eva birthday

Madeline had so much fun at her friend Eva's party. She was a little intimidated by the inflatable at first but ended up loving it at the end.

I don't like Full House

This morning Madeline brought me the Full House DVD set and said, "Mommy, can you put in Full House please?" 

I said, "Sure!"

Both girls said, "Yay!"

As I'm putting in the DVD Madeline says, "I don't like Full House." 😳

Mmm...puppy smells good

Because I want to remember this sweetness..

Me: Let Mommy see your fluffy puppy for a minute. I'm gonna spray him with this lavender spray so you can sleep better (hands me puppy...psssk...psssk...psssk...I spray puppy with DIY lav EO spray and give back to her). Now I want you to sniff your puppy. He smells good.
Madeline: Ok Mommy. (Sniffs) Mmmm...he smells great!
Me: He does smell great. Keep sniffing him and it'll help you sleep. Good night. I love you.
Madeline: Ok. Good night Mommy. (Lights off). I'm awake. It's not time to get up. Mommy said good night. Mmmm...you smell good puppy. (Quiet)

Snow Day!

I took Madeline to the window to see the snow this morning and she smiled and said, "Snow day! Yay! Can we pway in it?" So of course, we did!

I'm Snow White. I'm not Snow White.

"I'm Snow White. I'm not Snow White," Madeline repeated, walking through the house with ACs Elsa earmuffs on.

AC and I both agreed that statement perfectly sums up where Madeline is right now. Bipolar two-year-old.

She'll ask for milk and when you return with it she'll holler "I don't want milk." Alrighty then.

She asks for her jacket and when you go to put it on her "I don't want my jacket."

Instead of getting angry we are learning to have sense of humor about it as much as possible, because one day soon we'll look back and miss this age. Not yet, but one day...ha.

Update 2-8-16

AC and I have started racing each other to say Madeline's catch phrase "I'm Snow White. I'm not Snow White" whenever she goes two-year-old bipolar on us. Like just now, Madeline said "I don't like that show" referring to the Bubble Guppies. So AC changed the channel. Madeline hollered, "Wait! I like that show!" And AC looked at me without missing a beat and said, "I'm Snow White. I'm not Snow White!"

Christmas not over for Madeline.

This sweet girl sure does love Christmas. She keeps asking where our Christmas tree went and where Chippy (our Elf on the Shelf) went, singing Five Little Reindeer, and wanting her Rudolph stuffed animal. 

I totally get it. Mommy loves Chrisfmas too, Madeline. Here she is at school in her fave Christmas outfit. ❤️🎄🎅🏻

Madeline's top 10 things she loves

Madeline's fave things right now (brainstorm for stocking stuffers):

1) Dora. Anything Dora. I'm hoping to find a set of figurines for all the characters.

2) lollipops. She loves blueberry dum-dums

3) Paw Patrol. Zuma figurine. That's the only one she doesn't have and I think she'd love it in her bath since Zuma rides a boat.

4) books. Madeline loves books. Especially lift a flap. I found one with Diego and Baby Jaguar that I think she will love. 

5) puzzles. Not sure if I can find one for the stocking, but I do think I'll get her a few of the puzzles with peg pieces. 

6) Toy Kitchen. I'm pretty sure all the dishes from their toy kitchen are now bath toys. I think we just need a new set for the kitchen.

7) bubbles. 

8) Color Wonder. I just want the blank paper. Not the coloring pages.

9) accessories. Oh my goodness, Madeline loves jewelry. And hats, and purses

10) bows. Loves a bow. Asks for a bow. So unlike her sister in that regard. Need to replace missing navy and Aqua bows
